About Us
Meadowlark Employment Services’ mission is to empower people with disabilities and other barriers to gain employment through natural, individualized supports. We’re passionate about helping our associates to gain competitive, integrated jobs in Oregon, Idaho and Washington, and to support job seekers through the STEP program.
Meadowlark serves as the connector for three different stakeholders:
Individuals with disabilities and other barriers to employment
Employers
Government agencies like Vocational Rehabilitation
CARF Accredited Since December 2024
Meadowlark Employment Services is proud to be accredited by CARF International, an independent, nonprofit accreditor of health and human services. Leaders in Disability Employment Since 1971
Meadowlark Employment Services is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit and a subsidiary of The DPI Group (previously DePaul industries). DPI was founded in Portland in 1971 as a vocational training and employment program for people with developmental disabilities. Over the years, DPI has employed individuals with disabilities in a variety of ways. As the organization grew and evolved into a number of distinct business lines, it rebranded in 2019 and Meadowlark Employment Services was born.
Meadowlark embraces Oregon’s Employment First Model, believing that work in integrated jobs is the first and priority option in planning employment services for working-age adults and youth.
Annual Report
Fiscal year 2024 (July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2024) showed growth and an increasing need for our services. Meadowlark officially moved into providing services in the state of Washington, hosted our second annual job fair, and embarked on our path to CARF (Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities) certification.
Executive Director, Harmony Redmond writes, "Looking ahead to the fiscal year 2025, we aim to further expand our programs to meet the growing demands in various regions and enhancing our existing services to ensure comprehensive support for individuals with IDD."
